The City of San Luis Obispo has returned to in -person meetings. Zoom participation will not be
supported. For those attending in -person, City facilities will be at limited capacity and masks are
strongly recommended.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR PUBLIC COMMENT:
Public Comment prior to the meeting (must be received 3 hours in advance of the meeting):
Mail - Delivered by the U.S. Postal Service. Address letters to the City Clerk's Office at 990
Palm Street, San Luis Obispo, California, 93401.
Email - Submit Public Comments via email to advisorybodies __slocity.org. In the body of your
email, please include the date of the meeting and the item number (if applicable). Emails will not
be read aloud during the meeting.
Voicemail - Call (805) 781-7164 and leave a voicemail. Please state and spell your name, the
agenda item number you are calling about, and leave your comment. Verbal comments must be
limited to 3 minutes. Voicemails will not be played during the meeting.
All correspondence will be archived and distributed to members, however, submissions received
after the deadline will not be processed until the following day.
Public Comment during the meeting:
Meetings have returned to an in -person format. To provide public comment during the meeting,
you must be present at the meeting location.
Electronic Visual Aid Presentation. To conform with the City's Network Access and Use Policy,
Chapter 1.3.8 of the Council Policies & Procedures Manual, members of the public who desire
to utilize electronic visual aids to supplement their oral presentation are encouraged to provide
display -ready material to the City Clerk by 12:00 p.m. on the day before the meeting. Contact

The special meeting of the San Luis Obispo Tourism Business Improvement District
Board was called to order on April 12, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. by Chair Clint Pearce.

PRESENTATIONS
1. MARKETING SERVICES QUARTER REPORT AND Q4 MEDIA PLAN REVIEW
Hayley Corbett, Allison Furr and Gabbi Hall Noble Studios, and Elizabeth Borsting,
DCI presented the third quarter report and year-to-date results for the marketing
activities for the SLO TBID. Hayley Corbett and Allison Furr, Noble Studios then
presented the outlined media plan for the fourth quarter.
2. PUBLIC RELATIONS & GUEST SERVICES QUARTER REPORT
Jim Dantona and Hollie West SLO Chamber presented the third quarter report and
year-to-date results on the Public Relations and Guest Services contract activities with
the SLO TBID.
3. CONTENT MARKETING QUARTER REPORT
Katy McGrath, and Molly Burchett, Badger Branding presented the third quarter report
and year-to-date results for the content marketing support and organic social media
activities with the SLO TBID.
4. WEBSITE PROJECT: HOME & SUB PAGE DESIGNS
Gabbi Hall, and Davis Bauman, Noble Studios presented the VisitSLO.com homepage
and subpage designs as approved by the website task force and staff.
BUSINESS ITEMS
1. FY 23-24 BUDGET PRIORITIES AND CONSIDERATIONS
Tourism Manager Molly Cano provided an overview of the priorities and
considerations for the FY 23-24 TBID operating budget for direction to the Budget
Task Force and contractor team.

1. TBID Marketing & Business Plan Workshop
Staff and the agency team led the board through a recap of the TBID's strategic plans
and initiatives, focusing on successes, current scope updates and future work efforts.
The board gave direction to drive new focus on meetings and group business and
expand the LGBTQ+ content on the website, and to continue investing in sustainability.

CALL TO ORDER
A Regular Meeting of the San Luis Obispo Promotional Coordinating Committee was
called to order on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at 5:32 p.m., by Chair Welch.

Tourism Manager Cano reported on April 12, 2023, TBID meeting.

Tourism Manager Molly Cano provided a brief Tourism Program update.
ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned at 7:16 p.m. The next Regular Promotional Coordinating
Committee meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 5.30 p.m. at City Hall
990 Palm Street.
