Dear SLO City Council,
As a ci?zen of San Luis Obispo and someone who enjoys our beau?ful trails for a variety of ac?vi?es such as hiking, trail
running, and cycling, I’d like to share my opinion regarding the Righe? Hill Trail that will be voted on to determine
whether or not it should remain mul?-use or be restricted to hiking only. I strongly believe this trail should remain a
mul?-use trail and allow use of bicycles for the following reasons:
1. There is plenty of room for all users on this trail.
2. There are currently hiking only trails (Islay) in this immediate area and no mul? use trails on the Islay/Righe?
side of town.
3. I do not agree that there will be conflict issues on this specific hill that are different than any other mul?-use
trail in SLO.
4. This is a great .8 mile trail for beginning riders, specifically kids.
5. Although this is a short trail, it allows riders of all abili?es and ?me constraints to get outside for a quick
healthy dose of nature.
Please keep this trail open for mul?-use so that it can be enjoyed for an array of ac?vi?es and not solely limited to hiking
only.
