Architecture Review Committee, My wife and I own and manage Le Petit Soleil, at 1473 Monterey Street, immediately west of 1440 Higuera, and we wish to express our support for construction of a new residential building at 1440 Higuera Street. This project will be discussed as Item 6a at the ARC Meeting on June 5, 2023. We appreciate the simple Spanish style design, and believe the project will help to beautify the block. The new building will convert an often vacant parking lot into highly needed residential space close to the downtown corridor.
