Mayor Stewart and Council Members,
I wholeheartedly support Richard Schmidt’s proposal on water rates. As a retired architect, Mr. Schmidt
understands water as well as anyone on the city staff, and his proposal is intelligent, professional, and
EQUITABLE. Like him, I believe that residents who make daily efforts to reduce their water usage should be
rewarded, not punished. Please, do not rush in approving the less than equitable proposal offered by the city
staff, and instead, think about the alternative offered by Richard Schmidt.
