Thank you for providing an opportunity for the community to discuss and communicate their ideas and opinions for the Meadow Park and Higuera Complete Streets Improvements. Below are some of my thoughts after discussing them with your engineers as well as others in the community that attended. Please let me know if you have any questions.  Bridge STreet: o Many bicyclists access South Higuera via Bridge Street. With the improvements you are planning, I would expect this number to increase. This is not a safe intersection for bicycles to turn left onto South Higuera. I did not see anything proposed, can the City address this in this plan? o (L-19 upper image) There is not that much traffic on Bridge Street, especially east of Beebee Street. I think the two sets of speed bumps here are unnecessary. o (L-19 lower image) Improve the "Park Path" that connects Bridge to Expedition. This does not feel safe to bike through when it is dark. It is narrow and overgrown with occasional unhoused folks using the area. Suggest widening the path there, adding a light, and clearing some of the vegetation.  Exposition/Corrida Intersection o There is a lot of activity at this location b/c of the access to the open space. I suggest eliminating the traffic circle here and replace it with an additional speed hump and a cross walk connecting the corner of the intersection with the kiosk area of the open space. The traffic circle at this location would eliminate public parking used to access the open space and push that parking into neighborhoods which would then result in more pedestrians trying to cross the street.  Corrida o I think there's an excessive number of speed humps along Corrida. The two closest to the park entrance, on either side of the intersection with Sendero, make sense, but not the third. I don't think the crosswalks are necessary along Corrida because there's little traffic leaving the small cul-de-sacs to have an impact. However, , there definitely should be one that crosses Corrida at the park entrance (at Sendero Street) as many folks from all over the neighborhood access the park at this location and cross Corrida here.  Corrida/Woodbridge Intersection o I don't see this intersection needing a traffic circle.  Woodbridge/Meadow Intersection o While I don't love the traffic circles along Chorro, I have gotten used to them and I think that's probably the best option we have at Meadow/Woodbridge intersection. Folks drive down MEadow street fast and there are always folks crossing on foot at this intersection. What i don't see in the layouts at the traffic circles is where it shows designated crosswalks. I think it will be important to demonstrate and guide pedestrians and alert drivers where they should be watching for them at this intersection.  Sendero/Woodbridge Intersection o I live on Sendero Ct and I think folks go faster through the straight section of Woodbridge between Cima and Sendero Ct than they do at the intersection of corrida or on Corrida itself, and yet nothing is being 1 proposed for this roadway. I recommend analyzing the speed of traffic on Woodbridge and consider a traffic circle at the intersection of Sendero/Woodbridge or at least additional speed humps to slow folks down through this straight section.
