Dear Council members and Mayor ,
There's an old saying, "be careful what you ask for- you might get it". And in the case of the SLO Bre w
lication that certainly rings true . So the extended hours of operation ( 6 AM) for for special event s
nter/Spring graduation, St . Patrick's Day, Cinco de Mayo) has been eliminated and now in it's place i s
expanding the overall hours from 7 :00 AM to 2 :00 AM . Now drunkenness can began everyday at 7 :00 AM .
That's wonderful . St . Patrick's Day is flat out of control downtown if you hadn't noticed. Oh, hold on, the
i
expanded hours are for the purpose of serving breakfast, but I don't see anywhere in the report that they are
required to serve breakfast or any percentage of receipts from food sales . If the business says they want th e
tended hours in order to serve breakfast the requirements under the Type 47 license should be met for the
AM to 11 :00 AM period .
I also noticed that staff is still standing by their interpretation of CEQA review and I'm still not buying it .
Sincerely ,
Brett Cross
