Box 2040 Santa Maria, CA 93457-2040 P: (805) 346-1766 F: (805) 346-1767 May 5, 2021 Ms. Molly Brown, Haz Mat Inspector City of SLO Fire Dept. 2130 Santa Barbara Avenue San Luis Obispo, CA 93401 Subject: April 23, 2021 Laboratory Results for 2600 Broad Street, San Luis Obispo, CA. Dear Molly: Buena Resources, Inc. has summarized the eighteen samples taken from the five 20 cyd bins (3/bin) of material that was removed from this site. Additional samples have been taken from the walls and bottom but we don't have that data as yet. Samples taken from these bins all required additional testing for both STLC and TCLP testing for both chromium, copper and lead. Samples were taken by staff from Pacific Petroleum California (PPC) on April 23, 2021 and delivered to OEC Laboratory in Santa Maria, CA. DISCUSSION OF RESULTS Based on the results obtained from the bin sampling, all the material would be considered California hazardous for lead but not RCRA hazardous. In four of the samples, the TTLC lead levels were high enough that the material did not have to be analyzed further for soluble levels. Those samples were Bin 2094-A, Bin 20340-C, Bin 20158-C and in Bin 20376-B. Those TTLC lead levels ranged from 1100 mg/kg-8000 mg/kg. STLC lead levels ranged from 10 mg/1-120 mg/I. All of this material would require disposal at a Class I TSD facility. Thank you for the opportunity to be of service. If you have any questions, please contact this office at (805) 346-1766.
