Use caution when deciding to open attachments, click links, or respond. Dear Council members, It appears that prior council actions, or inactions, have contributed to a significant shortage of parking options in many San Luis Obispo neighborhoods. I refer to what appears to be unlimited growth and density in numerous areas with an assumption that residents will not own cars - using alternate means of transportation. I also refer to the recent North Chorro Greenway which will remove street parking and cause a permanent detraction in the quality of life in the neighborhood. As a result, many neighborhoods will need to rely on preferential parking districts to improve parking options. Placing a pause on issuing such district permits will unnecessarily cause frustration of residents that have been impacted negatively by inadequate parking. I suggest that the council not only disregard the proposed pause, but act to streamline and encourage preferential parking districts in impacted areas. My best regards, John Valpey jvalpey51@gmail.com 1
