To the Members of the San Luis Obispo City Council,
We, the San Luis Coastal Obispo Association of Realtors, proudly represent over 700 REALTORS® and
affiliates who are dedicated to promoting housing production and homeownership, preserving property
rights, and fostering opportunities for residents of all income levels to achieve the American dream.
We are writing today to express our unwavering support for the proposed Housing and Infrastructure Plan
for San Luis Obispo County. This comprehensive plan demonstrates a strong commitment to addressing
the pressing housing and infrastructure needs of our community, aligning with our core mission to create
a thriving and inclusive environment for all residents.
The proposed plan recognizes that housing production is not only a priority for the state of California but
also a vital component of various other goals specific to the Central Coast. By addressing housing needs,
we can contribute to economic diversification, enhance our quality of life, address homelessness, and
preserve our scenic landscapes. We wholeheartedly endorse the overall concept of the Housing and
Infrastructure Plan and recognize its potential to generate safe, efficient, and accessible homes while
simultaneously advancing these critical objectives.
We appreciate the time and dedication invested by the San Luis Obispo Council of Governments, the seven
cities, San Luis Obispo County, and REACH in developing this crucial plan and their continued commitment
to serving our community. The proposed Housing and Infrastructure Plan represents a significant
opportunity to make strides towards meeting the housing needs of our residents while fostering
sustainable and smart development. We remain steadfast in our support and eagerly anticipate
witnessing the progress made toward achieving this essential goal.
Thank you for your attention and consideration.
Sincerely,
Jocelyn Brennan
