Subject: Visitors from Korea
Members of the Information Culture Center of Korea, a non-profit
organization that promotes computer and communication literacy in
Korea, will visit City Hall on Tuesday, November 7th from 1 -
3:30 PM. The group is interested in how the City disseminates
information to the public. Bill Roalman has agreed to provide
Opening Remarks. Phil Wagner will brief the group on SLO_NET
(it's beginnings, Virtual Village, and Information Providers).
Allen Hopkins will follow with a discussion of how the City is an
Information Provider. If you have an opportunity, please stop by
the Council Hearing Room 9 to meet the group and hear the
presentation. I've asked Sherry to inform the Mayor of this
visit and he will stop by if his schedule permits. Attached is
the agenda for the meeting. E-mail me or call me (x131) if you
have any questions.

<H> VISITING DIGNITARIES TO CITY HALL j 0/)4 01 CA,
<T>This is a photo of Mayor Allen Settle greeting . t • yor from the City of Iida in
Nagano Pref., Japan. Arnold Jonas recently hosted the mayor and his entourage of
planners. But that's only half the story.
As with all tourists in a foreign land, these visitors were extremely curious, taking pictures
of everything! The day of this visit happened to be Halloween and as they were all standing
in the upstairs hall, who should walk by but our very own Linda Asprion. In case you
missed seeing her, she was decked out in full costume of her own design as the 'Revenue
Manager, " replete with cape, fringed hat, sceptor, and dollar bills a-1-1-1 over her body.
The visitors' reaction was subdued shock. One wonders what they said about Linda on their
way home.
..... And that's the rest of the story.
