Subject:Safe Parking on Palm

I am a homeowner living on Grove, just a few blocks from the proposed safe parking on Palm. I walk my grandchildren
and dogs daily, down MIll Street, up Grand, to Palm and back home. Several of my family members and their young
children live in the neighborhood too. This is a neighborhood and we have all worked hard to purchase our homes and
preserve our neighborhood. I am outraged that we were only informed by our neighbor, Lynn Hamilton, about this
proposed blocking off of Palm St to provide parking for the homeless. This is a well established neighborhood of which
many of us are working hard to keep safe. It seems there are many other better, non residential areas for this proposal.
Here are a few that come to mind:
Prado Rd
Orcutt Rd
Rent the parking lot Sunset Drive In
Elks Rd
Downtown parking areas where the homeless currently sleep.
Needless to say, this will greatly impact our neighborhood and our property values. Please make a decision to provide
parking elsewhere. Thank you -
