We will likely start two new officers on February 24 and will keep them on days with Lincoln and Berrios for three weeks. Since Phillips is VL Feb 24‐26, Etherton can go back to J. Koznek for the week. Etherton’s schedule has been updated on the trainee tab in Speedshift. He may head to Records, Traffic, Dets, Dispatch, and SET for the week of March 10. There will be an 8 hour overtime expense for some. Officer Wizard suggested this program comes at a good time since he has four subpoenas. Chief Deputy DA Sheryl Wolcott provided the following details regarding the program: 1) Overview of the DA's Office 2) Filing of criminal charges (process and substance) 3) Observation of court with a debriefing with the DDA afterwards 4) Introduction to DA Investigations Division with specifics re: DV investigations 5) Discussion of discovery and Brady 6) Introduction to Victim/Witness Division 7) Introductions to the Bad Check unit.
