Re: Police Strategic Plan
I am on the Police Roundtable. I have found this to be a good opportunity to learn more
about San Luis Obispo. I was out of the country so was not able to meet with the
consultants regarding the strategic plan but having reviewed it recently I feel we are
moving in the right direction.
Chief Scott has done a very good job of being inclusive. He works hard to get different
perspectives and listens attentively.
I especially appreciate how kindly the police officers interact with the unhoused. I see
them frequently talking in a calm manner, helping to deescalate situations.
The strategic plan reflects these values.
