I am a homeowner at 1558 Palm St. The proposed overnight camping of homeless on my street is dangerous and
completely inappropriate for our neighborhood.
A lot of homeowners here are older and can be easily taken advantage of by the public. My mother lives with me and
she is 83 years old. I work at night. She is already fearful of the possibility of a homeless encampment on our street.
This area of town is also far away from the facilities the homeless use on a daily basis, ie., homeless shelter at 40 Prado
Rd. and Social Services on S. Higuera. There are many areas on that side of town which seem far more appropriate for
this proposal.
Please don't use Palm Street for your overnight camping for the homeless. Choose a better location for them near the
facilities they need.
I am not at the meeting tonight because I'm at work.
