Use cau?on when deciding to open a?achments, click links, or respond. ________________________________ To whom it may concern, I am a San Luis Obispo resident and I live on Mill St., just up from Palm Street. I vehemently oppose the Safe Parking Program you are considering pu?ng on Palm Street. We have very young children and we work hard to live here in San Luis Obispo and raise them in a safe environment. There are many reasons why having homeless people living down the street is a horrible idea, these are just a few: - Not safe for my children whatsoever! - Not safe at night - Reduces our property value - More the? in the neighborhood - I have already witnessed this as I see homeless people from the freeway areas stealing from us and our neighbors, so this would be a more common occurrance. - More drugs/alcohol/needles/feces/etc. will be spread and li?ered in the streets/sidewalks of our beau?ful neighborhood. There are many other areas I can think of that the Safe Parking Program can go - Prado Street, any of the San Luis Obispo parking lots and empty lots around the city, an industrial area, but NOT a neighborhood where law abiding ci?zens are working so hard and paying taxes to live. Please consider moving the program to another area in San Luis Obispo, we do not deserve to have our neighborhoods be unsafe and our property value’s decreased. Sincerely, Natalie DiSalvo 1
