Subject: Mitigation funds from Cal Poly for Student Housing projects totally inadequate
Good Morning:
I wanted to pass on my opinion concerning the flawed analysis of the Student Housing project EIR that was certified
recently by the Trustees of the CA State University System. The City Council should ask the City Attorney to examine the
viability of challenging the certified EIR for this project.
The mitigation fund amount identified for the City of SLO from Cal Poly is woefully inadequate especially with an
incomplete analysis of traffic circulation issues around the project site and surrounding neighborhoods.
I urge the City Council to renegotiate the amount dedicated to mitigation based upon the analysis of impacts from City
Staff to include infrastructure improvements as part of the mitigation.
Thank you
