Scope of Work
The City of San Luis Obispo will gain a like-minded partner in CSG and a clear pathway
to developing sustainable infrastructure.CSG will interface with all stakeholders,and the
City of San Luis Obispo will achieve a turnkey solution that includes the EVSE hardware,
engineering, permitting, construction, and O&M management.

DirtRoad understands that the City is seeking a comprehensive electric vehicle
infrastructure partner to support the planning and development of public charging
infrastructure to meet the community’s current and future needs.As a small-medium
enterprise with extensive experience providing public-sector solutions,DirtRoad is
ideally suited to partner with the City for this initiative.DirtRoad will ensure that each
charging station is well suited for public access.
ABB Terra 54 UL DC Fast Charging Station
Building on a decade of EV fast-charging experience,ABB’s Terra
54 offers enhanced usability and reliability in an all-in-one
package.The Terra 54 enables continuous 50 kW charging up to
500 VDC,and the Terra 54HV supports up to 920 VDC –
accommodating both CCS1 and CHAdeMO functionality.All Terra
chargers feature ABB Connected Services for remote services,
software updates,access management,and OCPP network
enablement.
The Terra 54 enables high uptime due to redundancy in power
and communication architectures.The Terra 54 has an
industry-leading modular power conversion topology that delivers
high uptime and continuous power delivery.Safety is always
paramount with ABB Terra chargers,which are certified to all
relevant standards,including EMC Class B for safe operation for all
consumers in office, retail and fuel station locations.
Charging Times
EV drivers would obtain 150 miles of range per hour with the 50 kW DCFC stations.

DirtRoad Intelligent EV Charging Stations
An attractive,powerful,and durable Level 2 charger,the
DirtRoad Intelligent Level 2 EV Charger features a slim and
durable design that is outdoor rated (when hardwired,not
plugged in)and mounts discreetly at your preferred
parking space with a simple plug-in installation.Pedestal
mounts are also available.
The Intelligent Series has a LED light,dot-matrix display
with an 18-25 foot cable,holster included.The charger is
UL-listed and meets safety criteria for use throughout
North America.With a 7.2 kW /40 amp power output,this
station has the power necessary to charge at a rate up to
25 miles of range per hour of charging.
Applications
The DirtRoad Intelligent Level 2 is open access and common for residential,
commercial, fleet, and public use.
Charging Times
EV drivers would obtain 25 miles of range per hour with the DirtRoad Intelligent Level 2
charging stations.

ChargePoint Express (CPE) 250
The CPE250 is a state-of-the-art 62.5kW DC Fast Charging
solution.When installed in a paired configuration,meaning
that two CPE250s are electrically paired together,the solution
can achieve a power output of up to 125kW for a single vehicle
depending on the vehicle’s voltage input capability.
The CPE250 is a 480V 3-phase 80A input charger that
provides an output of 200-1000V DC,up to 62.5kW per station
125kW when paired).The station supports two cables,with
options of the CCS1,CCS2,or CHAdeMO connector type.The
cables and connectors are attached to a cable management
system that allows for a reach of 14’and keeps the cables
protected.In addition,each station is designed with a
minimal footprint,allowing facilities to maintain as much
usable parking space as possible.
The Express 250’s interactive LCD screen lets drivers easily
interact with instructions,information or promotions.A
wide-format LED display makes availability and status easy to
see,even at a distance.Up to two connector types allow
charging of any electric vehicle,and an advanced cable
management system provides extra reach,while keeping
cables off the ground.Fault-tolerant design,remote
monitoring and intelligent diagnostics provide proactive
alerts to prevent station outages,eliminating driver
frustration.

EV drivers would obtain 200 miles of range per hour with the 62.5 kW DCFC stations.

and, by extension, lower rates for community drivers.

DirtRoad will create a custom dashboard for your municipality,
including, including integration with third-party APIs:
Real-time viewing of charger status,history,revenue
generation, usage, emissions reduction metrics
Fleet management tools and integration with fleet
telematics software using available telematics APIs
DirtRoad Mobile App
The DirtRoad App provides a technologically advanced,
easy-to-use,and personalized link between drivers and the
community with a full complement of features:
Subscription options for deeply discounted charging
Scheduled and remote start-stop charging for energy
cost management
Real-time status and usage history,and a lot more to
come including OCPP 2.0 bidirectional capability

Kory joined Carbon Solutions Group in 2007 as Director for the Latin American region,
where he was the principal consultant for the Greenhouse Gases Transportation Project
valued at USD 300 million.Kory returned to San Diego with his family in 2017 to head up
CSG’s EV Infrastructure division.Since then,he has built a team of multi-disciplined
engineers,policy analysts,and environmental commodity traders and created a turnkey
solution to design,construct,and operate cost-effective EV charging stations.Under his
leadership,the EV team has successfully developed DC fast charging infrastructure at
several dozen sites and commenced the development of several hundred chargers on
publicly owned properties.

Matt joined Carbon Solutions Group’s EV Infrastructure team in 2020 in response to
rapid growth in the fast-evolving segment.A committed proponent of the energy
transition,Matt brings technical expertise in renewable energy technologies and 15
years of project and business leadership experience from the aviation and energy
industries.Matt has a BASc.In Mechanical Engineering from The University of British
Columbia and an MBA from Cornell University.

Marcia joined Carbon Solutions Group’s EV Infrastructure team in 2021 to further
sharpen the company’s way of doing business.Marcia’s portfolio highlights the

installs in the states of Florida,South Carolina,and North Carolina.In her many years as
an executive-level project manager,Marcia has nurtured long-term professional
relationships with clients and vendors while simultaneously delivering projects that
bring the highest level of value to all parties involved.Her expertise and advantageous
diligence extend far beyond her work.

Salvatore joined Carbon Solutions Group in 2021 to assist with expanding the
Commercial Development EV Infrastructure team.As a project analyst,Salvatore helps
with the research,planning,and procurement of EV charging infrastructure.He has a
background in research and marketing and is fulfilling a Bachelor of Science in
Marketing degree at the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay.

Rick joined Carbon Solutions in 2019 to provide engineering design support on electric
vehicle charging projects.Rick has worked with electrical infrastructure since 2007,
including experience with electric utility distribution,low voltage secondary design,
commercial rooftop PV design,and electrical and civil design of EV charging station
installations.He is a licensed Professional Engineer in electrical engineering with active
licenses in 20 states and has extensive experience with medium voltage and low voltage
underground electrical design and materials.He holds a master ’s degree in power
systems engineering.
