Hello-
My wife and I love downtown SLO. We live in Arroyo Grande and she teaches at a SLO County of Educa?on school by
Cuesta. At least once a week, we’d meet in downtown SLO for dinner usually at Woodstocks, Firestone, Nick the Greek,
or the Habit. We haven’t done this at all since the school year began in August due to the parking fees. I know about
the locals free hour at the Palm Street garage but we never park at that garage so it’s not really a great op?on for
us. We’re in our 60’s now and my wife is ?red a?er work and the last thing she wants to do is walk a distance (and up a
hill) to go to dinner. Also, the free hour is only one car at a ?me so that doesn’t help much when we meet there for
dinner as we have 2 cars. We don’t have the budget to pay $18 for parking in addi?on to a $25-$35 dinner.
Hopefully there is something that can be done to lower the parking costs so we can go to dinner in downtown again.
Regards,
Keith Byrd
