What message does this send about this being a supposedly well -run city? Why should some "customers" pay through the nose, and others get FREE water? It doesn't matter if this water is untreated well water or "recycled" sewage water — you count all this as part of your municipal water supply, so there should be a fair price attached to it, and no FREEBIES for anyone, even if they bring their own tanks to fill for FREE at your free - flowing spigots. I've highlighted the insanity of the dumb and unfair stuff you spend your "utility charges" on over a number of recent letters — highlighting the waste and the resulting overcharge of utility customers (greeted as usual by your total silence, suggesting you condone this waste and resulting overcharging for utilities). Well, here's another example. If you'd charge a fair price for this water you have been giving away for FREE, revenue neutrality would mean those hooked up to meters could all have lower utility charges. How about a bit of respect and fairness for city residents who are captive to you and your utilities department? Richard Schmidt
