Dear Warren and Greg:
Upon our return from a brief vacation to participate in my daughter's wedding in Washington,
D.C., Dan and I were disappointed to read the T-T account of the recommended naming of the
Performing Arts Center.
I support all efforts to showcase major donors in fund development efforts. And, in line with
that, the major donors are the City of San Luis Obispo ($5 million +), primarily local donors to
the Foundation ($8 million), and the taxpayers of the State of California ($17 million).
We all appreciate Mr. Cohan's contribution to our community effort and, I for one, encourage
the naming of some area of the PAC after him ... and maybe Warren Sinsheimer ... and maybe Gerry
and Peggy Peterson ... and others. I know such motivates latent donors.
But, let's emphasize the unique partnership of government and community spirit that has truly
driven the creation of our world -class facility. That name should be broad -based and meaningful
to the highest percentage of the donor population.
C The City of San Luis Obispo is committed to include the disabled in all of its services, programs and activities.

We're all excited about the Performing Arts Center and it is imperative to keep that
celebratory spirit alive. We must continue to inspire the inclusionary aura as residents
support the PAC with their attendance at events with a sense of community pride and
ownership.
Sincerely,
Ci
