SLO City Council,
Bliss - like many other businesses downtown - has experienced a drastic decrease in local business. We get regular
phone calls asking if guests can pick up curbside to avoid the parking situation. While we've done our best to
accommodate these requests, it puts excessive strain on our team and often causes mayhem and confusion for our
guests, further discouraging them from returning to our business.
Bliss joins the other businesses in requesting IMMEDIATE RELIEF for this parking situation. With so many community
food staples going out of business (Big Sky, Mo's, Mint + Craft, Splash - just to name a few), we express our concerns to
you about the viability and resiliency of the food service industry in downtown SLO.
Specifically, we request that:
Downtown employees receive a reduced rate for parking structures.
Bring back the free 1st hour in parking structures.
Thank you for your urgency in addressing this issue. Resolution is essential for the health of downtown businesses.
