I agree! We lost the love going to town shopping and dinning due to the hassle of parking.

Until recently, I was shopping and dining 2-3 times per week on
average in downtown SLO. Since this new system was
implemented, myself and an innumerable amount of other
locals are no longer or rarely shopping and dining in downtown
SLO.
A return to the simpler “pay at the meter” and “pay as you
leave” garages would be an immediate way to attract patrons
back to downtown.
Please act swiftly, damage control is needed asap! We
downtown patrons are quick to develop new habits and it has
already begun.
