We are previous residents of SLO, have a brother living there, a daughter was born in SLO, and we
owned property in the County for more than 50 years. I've been coming to SLO since the 50s, and
continue to do so every few months.
On our last visit we experienced your parking disaster. When you have to post someone to explain to
people how to operate the automated system in the parkade, then you have a human factors
failure. It's the fault of whomever sold you this system. They didn't bother to do a usability analysis--
something all too common in the "corporate" sector. It's also the fault of your traffic/transportation
department because they didn't investigate properly.
Parking has just become a tipping point hassle for us. We have other shopping, leisure
options. Good luck. Don't write or call back. We're not terribly interested in your thoughts.
