Dear City Council Members, The new pricing of the city meters and and downtown parking structures has caused a financial burden to the downtown business owners and I for one avoid going downtown because of the price increase. Whatever you do downtown you have to add three to four dollars a hour for parking and to your dining bill!. When I go to the movies ,I now go to Arroyo Grande and Atascadero where parking is free and I can leisurely find a restaurant to eat at and not pay for parking. Our town is not Beverly Hills or Santa Barbara! I believe in supporting my community and not driving business' out which this new policy has done. We are losing to many restaurants and commercial business in the downtown area which the parking policy has not helped! Simply put this has been a poor decision on your part and not well though out when it is causing people to go else where rather that paying the high price of parking!
