It is hard to fathom what you were thinking when the strict new guidelines were discussed and implemented. Surely you did not realize the impact such would have on the small business owners. I have personally talked with several and heard firsthand what the cost of parking is doing to their livelihoods. This is my greater concern. Far less concerning is that I now routinely park 4-5 blocks away from town to avoid the meters and parking lots. I much prefer to walk the distance than pay the increased fees in order to shop, see a movie or dine. A dial back is needed to help the downtown merchants and prevent further from closing their businesses. I would suggest parking passes for those who work in town, deceasing the hourly rate for all, and removing all parking fees after 6 pm. Encourage the locals to come back and enjoy this quaint little town! Carol Graviano 165 Country Club Drive Cgraviano@yahoo.com 1
