Downtown San Luis Obispo is a real gem for the City and a wonderful place for residents and visitors to spend
time. Unfortunately, I and many others are not going downtown anymore. No more beautiful afternoon lunches at an
outdoor cafe, catching up with friends at coffee or finding a unique gift for friends.
Last month I visited several small cities and the parking rates are below:
Santa Rosa $1.50/hr
Mendocino no cost
Nevada City $.50/hr
Placerville 2hrs free
Auburn no cost
The City must return to free one hour parking in the structures and lower the street and garage parking immediately The
City and Council needs to take our voices seriously or else our charming downtown will become a memory.
