Good afternoon, I will not be able to attend the meeting Tuesday night, so I wanted to go ahead and let you know what my feelings and some of my clients feelings are as a downtown business regarding the parking. I have heard nothing but complaints since you've raised your prices on the parking and what you've done to the Palm Street structure. Everyone is extremely unhappy, they have told me they don't want to come downtown anymore. They will go to restaurants that are not downtown. As a small business owner, paying over $1,000 a year to park to go to work is absolutely ridiculous. Especially when I don't have any other options as it is not safe to walk in the dark at night alone as a woman in this town anymore. I think that the City of SLO really needs to think about how to help our businesses survive. At this point. We are still recuperating from covid. And those of us near the Anderson building, we have that to contend with as well. I don't want to see any more businesses go out of business like Big sky Cafe did, like mint and craft did, like village host pizza did, like equilibrium fitness did. Best!
