Use caution when deciding to open attachments, click links, or respond. Hello, I'm writing to express my extreme disappointment with the recent changes to the downtown parking. By doubling the parking rates and eliminating the first hour of free parking, I no longer go downtown to have lunch, see a movie or go to the farmers market, activities I used to frequent at least once a week. It's simply too expensive for what used to be a casual outing. Also the new payment system is quite confusing compared to how it used to be. Not everyone is tech savvy, wants to or can download apps to their phone or trusts using a credit card at these facilities. The Palm Street parking lot, where I usually like to park, still has an attendant in the booth so what is the point? I think these changes to increase revenue are shortsighted and will prove to be detrimental to downtown businesses. I hope that you will consider making changes before it's too late and businesses start going under. Thank you for your consideration, C. Rivera 1
