Use cau?on when deciding to open a?achments, click links, or respond. ________________________________ A?er not living within walking distance of downtown, I stopped going as much. Yes, I could park a li?le further away and walk, but that was only for occasions in which I wanted to spend a good amount of ?me downtown. To stop briefly somewhere to pick up some thing Became harder to do Now that we are small business owners downtown, on a block with vacancies all around us, parking is a whole different issue. We are a food business without a parking lot for our customers. I cannot drop off my teenage daughter at our business to work, or drop off the forgo?en aprons and stop in the yellow zone across the street without having a permit. We know parking fees fund wonderful things, and there are some fabulous things happening in our city. We love this city, and it is doing amazing work with art and culture and DEI. But we really really really want to go back to some lower rates or an hour free in the garage. I and I can understand parking fees ?ll 6 PM going ?ll 9 PM just seems excessive. I hear nonstop from people about how we compare to other ci?es and it doesn’t add up. Please help us out. Help out the families who want to go downtown, the individuals who want to be able to stop for a quick errand, and the small family owned businesses that want to survive. Sara McGrath 1
