If you want less of something, tax it. If you want more, subsidize it. The City Council has done exactly that with their
policies. They've taxed downtown parking, thereby reducing business, while putting more money into homeless
facilities, thereby getting more of it. This is called "stage one" thinking. You have got to start going beyond 4th grade
level thought.
We used to go downtown at least 1/ week. Now it's 1/ month. At some point, the tourists are going to get wise and skip
our pretty area. The Golden goose has been skewered and is on the spit. Will you continue down this path and cook it
completely?
