Use caution when deciding to open attachments, click links, or respond. ________________________________ Hello, I am writing this to express my concerns about parking downtown. Not only is it incredibly expensive with huge rate increases over the past few years, but also difficult to find available parking in general. Restaurants still have patios in the streets for outdoor dining, plus the additional bike lanes. This all contributes to it being very difficult to get downtown. Because of the increased parking difficulty, it deters a large amount of locals from attempting to frequent both shops and restaurants downtown. Downtown shops are generating revenue for the city. By deterring locals from shopping downtown you are hurting the city’s economy. It’s counterproductive to have such expensive and challenging parking. Our family used to go downtown for shopping and restaurants and now we rarely go because it’s always an addition $10 at least, just to park. Please bring the rates back down, reduce the times back to end at 6pm, and/or allow the one free hour of parking again to encourage people to head downtown for meals and shopping. Sincerely, The Winter Family Sent from my iPhone 1
