Greetings,
It's becoming increasingly difficult to be in downtown SLO because of this raise in the cost of parking.
??? It's so
expensive now! I'd rather go to a movie in AG and I truly loved supporting The Palm Theater.
A week ago, I wanted to pay my taxes at the SLOTC's office and do a few errands and it really was more than a chunk of
change!
I used to love taking my daughters to stroll downtown & go shopping on a weekend. We also would go out to eat but
now parking has definitely become a consideration. I'm sure it must be hurting the local businesses too if people go
elsewhere because they get free parking, or don't have to pay as much for the parking.
It's really sad for the Moms with multiple kids who have to pay just to take their kids to a doctor's appointment when
the lot is full.
Students who don't have a lot of money should be able to go downtown and use the public library without having to pay
so much just to park!
What's with having to pre-arrange a reservation and be so rigidly timed when needing to use a study room at the library-
especially , when no one else is waiting?
My husband doesn't even want to bother to take my kids to the library in downtown SLO because the parking costs so
much. This makes me sad
????.
All other local libraries have free parking.
Respectfully,
Anna Olsen
