Downtown is a Disaster !!
Useless parklets remain, new street corners are wasting vital funds, homeless are allowed to occupy
storefront space that is otherwise owned or leased by others and little is done to support those
actually supporting economy and public servants salaries.
The bike lanes and parklets are ridiculous - lanes are being chipped away from those actually using
and supporting downtown. When delivery trucks and Ubers stop and block traffic lanes because there
are no places to stop, there is no one there to police the violations. Parking rates of $5+ /hour are
ridiculous. Last month we went to dinner when there was only 45 minutes left in the paid parking
period and it cost over $5 to park. Council's policies do NOT support downtown business or the local
economy but rather drive it elsewhere where parking is free and there is no hassle.
Change course - we are on a ridiculous (bike) path !
