Dear City Council Members and Mayor Stewart,
I am writing to express my concern regarding the high parking rates in our town, specifically the $8 fee I paid to
park when taking my granddaughter to the library. While I understand the need for revenue generation, such
fees can be a burden for families who wish to encourage reading and learning in our community.
Public libraries are essential institutions that promote education and access to knowledge, especially for our
younger generation. Charging such a high parking fee might discourage families from utilizing this valuable
resource, which ultimately hinders our community's growth and development.
I kindly request that you consider reviewing the parking rates, particularly around places like the library, to
make it more accessible for families with children who are eager to learn and explore the world of literature.
Lowering the parking fees or offering a reduced rate for library visitors would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I hope we can work together to ensure that our community
remains a place where everyone can access educational resources without financial barriers.
Sincerely,
Ginger and Richard Silva
