Use caution when deciding to open attachments, click links, or respond. Good afternoon, I wanted to share my thoughts as a manager of a small business in downtown SLO. Since the rise of parking prices, I have noticed less locals coming to shop with ease in our store. At least once a day, a customer has mentioned the confusion and displeasure of the changes in parking. I’ve heard it from friends who are SLO natives that the parking prices for meters and structures has deterred them from now coming downtown with their children. As a single woman myself, I don’t have the finances to pay for rising parking prices and my option of parking in neighborhoods and walking into town alone at night is unsafe due to rising transient activities. I work downtown and do not come here on my off time for the reason of parking inconveniences. Please, bring back the free ONE hour parking to all customers. It would help us with business on the weekdays when visitors are not here shopping. Thanks! Hannah Ruffner 1
