Use caution when deciding to open attachments, click links, or respond. Good Afternoon, As a local business and property owner, I am deeply concerned with the rising parking costs. I would urge you to reconsider the price increases and reconsider at minimum one free hour of parking. Now more than ever, we need to support our local business as we go into the holidays. When you go holiday shopping and cannot find reasonably close parking at a reasonable price, you spend less money, which means less tax dollars OR you give up and go to Target, or go online to find what you are looking for. I have had to park so far away, I can't even take my purchases to my car, I have had to leave them at the shop and drive back and pull up in front to load. At the holidays this puts added stress on the businesses. Many people will just spend less money, keep purchases small, or go online and buy items from national retailers. I want us to have a thriving downtown. The ticketing has gotten out of hand and the costs of the parking is unacceptable. Many people babe just decided to stop coming downtown and stop spending money here. Let’s make it easy for people to come and enjoy slo and spend money - so we can keep our downtown Alive.
