Use cau?on when deciding to open a?achments, click links, or respond. ________________________________ Dear City Council Members, I would like to give my observa?ons and experiences with the recent parking changes in our downtown. It has become very difficult, inconvenient and expensive to enjoy and our beau?ful down town for a person like myself. I am seventy years old and live in the Ferrini Heights neighborhood. I have no other means of transporta?on other than my Car. I Used to frequent out downtown four to five ?mes per week to shop, have lunch, a?end a yoga class or take my grandchildren for an ou?ng. I can say that all of there’s ac?vi?es have stopped due to the exorbitant parking fees. I have not stopped these ac?vi?es, I have simply found other loca?ons with less expensive or free parking, along with user friendly venues. I feel that our downtown merchants and ci?zens will all suffer as Those of us who love spending ?me and money in SLO are priced out. Please consider lowering rates for the 10 hour meters, extending free parking in structures, reducing hours of enforcement so that our down town Can thrive and truly serve our ci?zens as a gathering place for the en?re community. Sincerely, Karen and Rodney Sharp 1
