Use caution when deciding to open attachments, click links, or respond. To the SLO City Council, I am a lifelong resident of San Luis Obispo. I grew up on Chorro Street and drive or walk it every day. I do not recognize it, it does not feel Safe and it looks ugly. My mom has lives there for over 60 years and my old neighborhood does not feel or look like home anymore. I have worked downtown for 10 years. I cannot afford to buy a parking pass and need to park at least three blocks away. I am sure that the neighbors do not enjoy all of the cars taking up their spaces. It's only gotten worse since so many spots were eliminated on Chorro Street. While I did enjoy using the city bus to get to and from work for a couple of years, it cost an extra hour of my day away from my family just to work three miles from home. The bus schedule has since changed and it is not convenient to my working hours. I also need access to my vehicle to be able to get my kids to and from school each day. Please help the community. I used to love living here but now there are so many of us who are not thriving. Driving out local families and local businesses with higher costs and more inconveniences are dumb ways to "improve" our town. Sincerely, Monica Marchetti Sent from Yahoo Mail on Android 1
