To whom it may concern,
My name is Bailey Killough and I’m a bartender in downtown San Luis Obispo. In order to find parking for work that’s
free I have to park blocks away and walk 10-15 minutes to work. I’m not saying this is unmanageable but I do believe it’s
important to bring to light that it’s become nearly impossible to find parking before my shifts especially on Thursdays.
Thursdays tends to be our busiest night of the week. I believe that a great solution would be to provide free parking
permits on the streets/buildings for employees of downtown businesses. We shouldn’t have to pay in order to make it
to work. Thank you for hopefully hearing the concerns of the public on this issue. We understand the need for business
when it comes to tourists but we are the ones that serve, bartend, and take care of said tourists and deserve to be
treated fairly.
Thank you,
Bailey Killough
