Remarks:
T2 responded to assist CalPoly PD with hydrant shutdown on calpoly campus. Geyser causing excessive water flow towards
Engineering building.
2 valves shut down were not correct valve for hydrant. Upon further investigation, valve located 3' from hydrant. FF
Johnston attempted to shut down however valve "frozen" open and street key unsuccessful.
Water standby arrived on scene. Street key also unsuccessful and representative confirmed that valve frozen open.
T2 evaluated area and requested facilities mgr to respond for flooding of building 21. Request also made for water
abatement company after water flooding into building 21 past FD ability to evacuate with small tools and equipment.

CSO on scene to set safety perimeter around geyser which was shut down to flowing water approximately 3' geyser. Water
continued to flow towards buildings.
