I am very much in favor of dredging the lake, which may be easier now it is mostly mud. It would be a real shame to lose this as a lake, and have it become a marsh or worse. I understand that the current situation though impacted by the drought, was also caused by the diversion some years back of the creek, and also by scraping the land my neighbors and I now live on, but for whatever reason construction could not begin for several years so there was runoff erosion into the lake. Because I care about wildlife, being very involved with Pacific Wildlife Care, it matters to me that Laguna Lake is on the Pacific Flyway. I have seen it in action at least once when I watched three separate flocks of honking Canada Geese land just minutes apart each one further to the Northwest than the last. Breathtaking. I would not mind paying extra for the ongoing dredging of this lake. Meg Crockett
