I just wanted to reach out to share that we’ve received several complaints from new residents of Righetti Ranch regarding traffic speeds—while some of these concerns may be temporary issues related to the roundabout construction, which we’ve tried to help mitigate with additional signage and temporary measures, we were receiving complaints about speeding on Righetti Ranch Road even before the roundabout construction started and I expect that this will be an ongoing issue north of the creek bridge where the roadway is straight with no intersections or visual conflicts to encourage slower speeds. As you may recall, per COA #34 of the resolution approving the development project (see attached), the develop is required to conduct speed surveys at one year from first occupancy of each phase of the development, and if warranted, implement additional traffic calming to encourage speeds that are within City Standards (25 mph for Righetti Ranch Road). I’m sure we’ve passed that point for Phase 1 and may be nearing that milestone for Phase 2. I can understand waiting until all traffic detours/lane closures are over with the roundabout construction, but I’d appreciate if you could please provide an ETA for when you plan to commission the speed surveys for both Phase 1 and Phase 2 streets? Please let me know if you have any questions.
