Use caution when deciding to open attachments, click links, or respond. Dear Council Members, Are you aware of how much partying, especially on or around St. Patrick’s Day and Halloween, have negatively impacted the City’s residential neighborhoods, especially the older ones adjacent to the Cal Poly campus? I know some of you have experienced the problems firsthand and have even felt compelled to move into quieter, newer neighborhoods further away from campus. I can tell you from personal experiences of living on Albert Drive, that the partying, especially on those two occasions, disrupts the peace and quiet to which residents are entitled. It’s unfair to these residents to have to put up with the excessive noise and other forms of destructive and uncivil acts that occur. You should feel duty-bound to have public policies which deal with such problems, including accepting the double fines recommended by the PD. I would be happy to supply you with specific examples of the wrongs I and my family experienced while living on Albert Drive as a result of excessive party conduct. With that said, I have testified live on this subject before, and you have council members who are very familiar with such issues. Sincerely, Sharon Conner Whitney We are all teachers and students for each other. 1
