Dear Mayor, Councilors and Staff,
Happy New Year! I'm hoping it will be a good year with less vitriolic public comments.
Thank you for your past support of ACA 1 and I hope there are ways we can get the word out to voters for the Primary.
I'd like to see these additions to our Legislative Platform:
Please add to the Homeless Resource Advocacy Section:
Support an evidence-based, data-driven, multi-pronged eviction prevention strategy.
Please add to the DEI section:
Support legislation and funding to expand eviction prevention programs that disproportionately impact Black, Indigenous,
People of Color (BIPOC), LGBTQIA+, and other marginalized racial, ethnic, and faith-based communities.
Please add to the Community Development section:
Support new initiatives regarding rent control legislation at the state level.
Support creating policies to expand programs and policies for tenant affordability and stability.
