The questions are below with staff's response shown in italics: 1) Will all of the new chargers resulting from the EV charging infrastructure project be DC fast chargers? Yes, the new chargers will all be DCFC Level 3 ChargePoint CPE250s. 2) Is part of the partnership with Valta selling or otherwise giving the existing Level 2 ChargePoint chargers in the Marsh Street Parking Structure to Valta, to operate in addition to the new fast chargers, for the duration of this agreement? If so, is there actual money changing hands, or is the City giving Valta the rights to operate/maintaining, etc. those chargers as well? The City's executed license agreement with Valta provided a framework to transfer the ownership of the 19 existing Level 2 chargers in the Marsh Street Parking Structure through a separate bill of sale and assignment and assumption agreement. A qualified third party will appraise the value of the existing chargers as well as the cost of any necessary repairs/refurbishment. Valta will pay the City for the net value of the chargers. This appraisal and transfer has not yet been initiated, but the process is scheduled to begin in Q2 of 2024. City of San Luis Obispo Page 105 of 615
