Reform the California Voters Rights Act to include a test to ensure that any actions taken because of the Act will result in a quantifiable equity outcome. 2. Support increased relocation assistance (AB 1482 2019) when a tenant is evicted due to no-fault of their own. 3. Support a comprehensive approach to renter protections for rental housing. Also I wanted you to see Chris Read’s update to the climate action plank (removed: processed based restoration and replaced it with natural solutions and examples: Support funding to implement programs and related action items contained in local and regional Climate Action Plans to quantitatively reduce greenhouse gas emissions and advocate for regulatory reform, including but not limited to clean technologies, micro-grids, all electric buildings, electrified transportation, a behind the meter technology, and natural solutions (e.g., tree planting, open space conservation, and contemporary land management and restoration practices). Protect and expand investments to prevent and reduce homelessness 2. Increase the supply and affordability of housing while retaining local decision-making 3. Improve public safety in California communities 4. Safeguard essential local revenues and support fiscal sustainability We are hoping to do this in one meeting so that we can bring this to Council on 4/4 and have a finalized platform for the City Leaders Conference.
