Inspector Comments: Ensure SDSs are readily available on the premises. Include hydrogen peroxide sanitizer in SDS binder. Review with employees where binder is stored. Inspector Comments: Replace tritium exit signs in warehouses. One sign observed to be due for replacement before 2019. Properly dispose of waste signs. Observed wood pallets, pallets of unfilled plastic seasoning containers, in addition to finished food products stored in area today. Per facility representative, commodities are constantly moving in warehouse area. Store materials in accordance with existing warehouse storage layout or demonstrate with a current fire protection analysis that storage is in compliance with Fire Code and the warehouse supplies adequate fire protection for types of commodities stored. 2019 California Fire Code Fail CHAPTER 32 HIGH -PILED COMBUSTIBLE 3206.10 -Aisles. STORAGE Inspector Comments: Observed pallets of materials and other stored items partially or completely blocking aisles in south warehouse. Immediately begin clearing aisles in accordance with chapter 32 of CFC and the warehouse guidelines submitted by Fulton Fire Engineering Inc. Inspector Comments: Empty lot adjacent to Tank Farm Rd was mowed prior to June 1; however, weeds are returning and will need abatement. One emergency exit flood light failed to illuminate when tested in upstairs office area. Repair/replace. Racks throughout both warehouses do not appear to be bolted or strapped. Inspector Comments: Submit written Respiratory Protection Program to mbliss@slocity.org. Observed facility employees wearing surgical masks while working near equipment filling chili -lime seasoning. Per facility representative, surgical masks are optional PPE. These operations resulted in a respiratory reaction (coughing, sneezing) for myself, another city inspector, and other facility personnel when walking through the manufacturing areas. Provide dust hazard study/analysis for dust producing operations. Submit permit through City Building Department for rack storage.
