Re: Commercial Cannabis Business Operator Permit Application Request for
Additional Information Letter
Dear Lauren Carpenter,
Your Commercial Cannabis Business Operator Permit Application dated August 12, 2023,
was received by the City and has completed the preliminary review stage. It has been
determined that additional information is needed from all applicants in order to complete
scoring and final evaluation of your application.
Your response must ONLY address the items below; please do not resubmit an entirely new
application package. Your response shall be emailed to me at the address provided below
no later than ten (10) calendar days from the date of this letter.
Additional Information Required for Review
Merit Criteria 4 – Experience
Please provide more information demonstrating experience of the primary principal(s) listed
in your application (see definition of Primary Principal in SLOMC 9.10.020.B.9) operating a
compliant cannabis operation for the full five years noted in Merit Criteria 4.A.1.
Information sufficient to demonstrate the experience evaluated under Merit Criteria 4
includes, but is not limited to:
1. To demonstrate operational experience: Details on the job duties, duration, and
ownership interest (if applicable) of the Primary Principal(s) in cannabis operations
and any supporting documentation and;
2. To demonstrate experience operating a compliant cannabis operation: records of
state licenses, local permits, tax remittance forms, (or any explanation of why those
were not required during the time of operation), business tax returns, records that
such entities were in good standing with the Secretary of State, etc. Information
should be limited to the years with which operational experience is being
demonstrated to satisfy Merit Criteria 4 – Experience.
