When a more substantial record would be required, to defend the City should a final decision be appealed to the Superior Court, it is required that the ARB be convened. •Linda Mielke •Alex Karlin •Myles Couch 4 Area Agency on Aging Board The Area Agency on Aging Board is the policy maker and grantor of funds from the Older Americans Act and Older Californians Acts and it sets policy concerning funded programs and the internal operations of the Agency. This is a state designated agency with jurisdiction covering both San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties. The City Council names one member to the 12-member board. •Sharon Whitney 5 Architectural Review Commission The Architectural Review Commission plays a vital role in the preservation and enhancement of the beauty and visual character of the City by ensuring that projects are consistent with required ordinances and standards, as well as the Community Design Guidelines, to maintain a high level of architectural excellence in the City. •Kelley Abbas •Robert Arens •Michael Clark •John Carrion •Ashley Mayou •Brian Pineda •Jacob Domine 6 Construction Board of Appeals The Construction Board of Appeals is called to conduct hearings and provide a second level of administrative review for contested Administrative Citations issued by the Chief Building Official and to serve as the Housing Appeals Board under CA State Health & Safety Code. •Niel Dilworth •Gresh Eckrich •Nick Graves •Amando Garza •Chris Wiedeman •Bob Vessely 7 Revenue Enhancement Oversight Commission •Renne Gardner •Anthony Bozzano •Jim Hamari •Tony Skapinsky •Kenny McCarthy •Zach Moody The Citizens' Revenue Enhancement Oversight Commission was established as part of the passage of a ballot measure approving a general use tax to protect and maintain essential services and facilities, such as open space, traffic congestion relief, flood protection, and senior citizen programs. The commission’s purpose is to provide transparency and maximize city accountability, by reviewing and making budget recommendations directly to the City Council regarding expenditures from essential services funds. 8 Cultural Heritage Committee The Cultural Heritage Committee oversees a broad range of educational and technical assistance programs aimed at preserving historical and cultural resources. Zone 9 is an area that encompasses the City and some surrounding areas in the County. The Committee was formed to assist the County Board of Supervisors on policy decisions relating to the area as well as determining the needs, desires, and financial capabilities of property owners in Zone 9 and to recommend programs to alleviate and control flood damage. •Christine Mulholland 20 Council has recessed to the Advisory Body Recognition Reception in the Council Hearing Room The City Council Regular Meeting resumes at 5:30 p.m.
