Description of Job:
This is a proposal to provide a service of using goats and sheep to clear vegetation at the Terrace
Hill Open Space at 2267 Bishop Street in San Luis Obispo.
The scope of work includes clearing approximately 10 acres with grazing to reduce the risk of
fire and fuel load present at the site.
The livestock will be contained within portable electric fence that will be moved through the site
in sections as each area is cleared. Fence lines will be cleared appropriately with weed whacking
to ensure fencing is securely installed. Signs will be posted to notify the public of the electric
fence and the need to keep dogs on a leash. Water will be provided with a portable water trailer
that will be filled at the San Luis Obispo public water source on Prado Road.
The site will be checked daily to ensure fence security, check water, assess herd health and move
the fence at appropriate times.
Proposed Cost and Timing:
The proposed cost for this job is $7,400.00 and it is estimated to take 14 days to complete.
With the approval of this proposal, these services will be scheduled and an agreement between
parties will be entered into. With this agreement, The Goat Girls are responsible for the animals
including their care, fencing, transport, labor required, and all equipment necessary to complete
the job. The Goat Girls LLC carry the required insurance and will be responsible for payment of
all taxes, including Federal, State and local taxes.
